Ryan York

Mr. Ryan York grew up in the neighboring Thomas County and received his primary and secondary education in local public schools. After graduating from Colquitt County High School, he continued his academic pursuits at Covenant College and Valdosta State University, graduating from the latter in 2019. Shortly after, his pastor, Josh Myrick, encouraged him to apply for a teaching position at Christian Academy, and the rest, as they say, is history.

However, it is essential for him to acknowledge a fundamental error in his previous communication. As C.S. Lewis aptly stated in "The Weight of Glory," there are no immortals, as the designation of mortality pertains to everything except human beings, nations, cultures, and the work of our hands. In contrast, humans are immortal creatures, each destined for either eternal glory or horror. This sobering reality underscores the significance of our actions and their enduring impact throughout eternity. With this profound understanding in mind, Mr. York approaches his role as an educator, reflecting daily on the eternal implications of his teaching and the responsibility entrusted to him in shaping the minds and hearts of his students.
