MISSION & VISION

Colquitt Christian Academy (CCA) is a high achieving, happy, vibrant and forward-thinking school in which children excel themselves academically, spiritually, and socially. Our eager students have a real thirst for learning and our excellent staff are committed and dedicated to ensuring that each child achieves. We have high standards and expect the best in both academic and spiritual growth.

Mission Statement

The mission of Colquitt Christian Academy is to develop the whole child while providing
a Christ-centered education in a biblical worldview, instilling a passion for wisdom and
truth.

Vision Statement

Colquitt Christian Academy aims to graduate young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who can evaluate their entire range of experience in the light of Scripture; and who do so with eagerness in joyful submission to God.

We desire them to recognize cultural influences as distinct from biblical and to be unmoved toward evil by the former. We aim to find them well prepared in all situations, possessing both information and knowledge of how to use it. We desire them to be socially graceful and spiritually gracious; equipped with and understanding the tools of learning; desiring to grow in understanding and wisdom, yet fully realizing the limitations and foolishness of the wisdom of this world.

We desire for them to have a heart for the lost and the courage to seek to dissuade those who are stumbling toward destruction; that they distinguish real religion from religion in form only; and that they possess the former, knowing and loving the Lord Jesus Christ. And all these we desire them to possess with humility and gratitude toward God.

Accredidations & Associations

Colquitt Christian Academy (CCA) is fully accredited through the Georgia AccreditingCommission (GAC).  This validates the desire of the CCA Board and Faculty to be among other reputable schooling options. Graduating students are eligible for the HOPE scholarship.

In addition, CCA is an active member of the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) which provides professional development opportunities and athletic/interscholastic competitions for students.

CCA is also a candidate for accreditation through the Association of Classical Christian Schools.

Statement of Faith

The following beliefs form the core foundation of Colquitt Christian Academy. These key elements of the Christian faith will be clearly and unapologetically taught across all grade levels. The content of these beliefs represents the primary doctrine upheld by the Academy. Secondary or divisive doctrines will not be treated as essential teachings. When such matters arise, they will be addressed by referring families and local churches for final guidance and authority. We believe the Bible alone to be the Word of God written, the ultimate and infallible authority for faith and practice.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is necessary.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone. We believe that faith without works is dead.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life; they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
While we do not require parents to be professing believers in Jesus Christ, we do require parents to understand that students will be learning these biblical truths both in and out of class.

We expect families, regardless of background, to respect these beliefs at home and at school.

From The Dean of Students

Dean of Students, Seth Walters

At Colquitt Christian Academy (CCA), we believe that educating the whole student is a multifaceted approach, including our mind, character, and social skills.  CCA understands that God has created human beings to use our minds to think about others’ ideas in literature and other expressions of knowledge to discover new groups of knowledge. Therefore, our curriculum teaches students to engage with this knowledge at a high level and articulate their interactions clearly and persuasively.

Yet, CCA understands God has called His people to be so much more than our minds but to be people who display His attributes in our daily character. Therefore, CCA promotes character development through meaningful discussion around literature and everyday formative experiences through our staff.

CCA understands many of the skills a student needs when entering the world stem from social interaction skills, so we at CCA offer multiple levels of training in biblical social skills.  This shaping happens through our house system; a student-led inter-grade group focused on contribution, community, and character. We also offer a variety of extra-curricular groups for social skill building, including sports, fine arts, and a variety of other clubs.

At CCA, we want our students to leave school living as faithful, noble, compassionate servants who strive to impact the world for God’s kingdom with their minds, character, and social skills.

Student Support

We offer one on one instruction with those students who need it. We can help them in any ELA class, math, science or history. With that one on one instruction it is consistent. The students gravitate to the subject matter and are able to ask questions, give ideas, and have their input heard and respected. We value the students’ boundaries using this method we are able to encourage that student to participate in the class lesson. With this one on one guidance we are able to bond with that student. We can help them learn life skills. Not only do we consider it important for them to achieve their goals in their academic classes, it is just as important that we encourage and engage them in obtaining life skills. We want our students eager to learn and prepared for what life has in store for them. One of the rewards of having one on one instruction is the bond that is formed. Having that student put their trust in us is truly a gift. Being able to pray for them daily and in turn them praying for you or others opens so many hearts and minds to let our Lord in. That is the ultimate goal, to have the Lord guide us as we instruct the students every day. We want to be able to stand in that crowd on graduation day and cheer them on because we had a hand in their education. I am thankful our Lord led me to this position and has guided me daily in the choices I make and how I instruct these students.
